A. SMARTdesks gives you, the educator, the opportunity to collaborate in the design process and the ability to modify our furniture products to meet your specific requirements. No one knows better than you how you want to use our furniture and we want you to be totally satisfied - not only with our quality, but with the function and utility of each of our products.
Q. How does SMARTdesks do all this within normal lead times and at a reasonable price?
A.Our contract manufacturers are equipped with CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing) software, state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and utilize "Just-In-Time" materials purchasing to manage their facilities. This enables us to produce each job to order, making modifications to our modular design for each customer. We don't have furniture built for inventory which keeps our overhead low - and our prices, too.
Q. Where can I get a copy of the SMARTdesks™ Catalog?
A. Our literature is predominantly in electronic format. Everything you need (all the facts) are here on this Web site. This saves you money, too! However, we'll be glad to mail you a copy of our latest product brochure. Request one using the Literature Request Form.
Q. Do you offer classroom space planning and design services?
A. We feel that the furniture is only one part of the total learning environment. The SMARTdesks Design Lab provides space planning for classrooms and training centers as a part of our total service commitment. To find out more, see the Design Resource Room where you will also find quite a few typical plans that you may be able to use immediately.
Q. How do I get free design assistance?
A. Use the SMARTdesks Design Questionnaire. and tell us what you are trying to accomplish, the room features and dimensions and the equipment you have and are purchasing. We will contact you by email or phone to begin the design dialogue.
Q. How do I order from SMARTdesks?
A. Request an iQuote using our email form. We will get back to you as soon as we can with a final delivered price quote, estimated delivery date and costs for add-on services such as inside delivery and set-up.
Q. Can I purchase SMARTdesks from my local dealer?
A. Our products are openly available to qualified dealers at standard trade discount from our published price list. Dealers may provide "Value-Added" services such as set-up and local inside delivery and, in many cases, are a better choice for some institutions. No matter how you wish to purchase our products, however, we prefer to communicate directly with you during the planning process in order to provide the highest level of service and collaborative design.
