If line-of-sight is not an issue and the monitor is the only computer component on the desktop you can reduce the clutter of cables and equipment and leave space for taking notes and reading printed materials. In the computer lab with shared terminals or for individual tutoring, the DT configuration provides the best visibility for multiple users and in the Internet lab where you want to monitor student computer activity closely, the DT series enables you to see every screen at once with the right furniture arrangement. We know there are many situations where a semi-recessed or sub-surface display is not the perfect solution. | Sometimes the best solution is the simplest. If you are going to be changing or mixing a variety of monitor sizes and the desks are going to be pushed up against the walls around the room or clustered back-to-back, placing the monitor on the worksurface may be the best option. And some age groups - young and old - find the desk top arrangement more comfortable. It certainly is what we are used to in the workplace and at home. Therefore, SMARTdesks™ has applied all of the same design principles used in our other desks to make DT Series Workstations just as comfortable, clutter-free and aesthetically pleasing. |

Like the Convertible CPU Cabinet™, a SMARTdesks™ exclusive. It is designed to accommodate either tower or desktop CPU cases so the desktop remains uncluttered with plenty of room for books and paperwork. An optional rear accesss panel is available so you never have to remove the CPUs to route wires or check connections if the desks are positioned away from the wall. An adjustable shelf offers additional storage for headsets, other equipment and supplies. With smaller form CPUs, there is even room for an optional pullout shelf to support a scanner or low-profile printer. In fact, there is no limit to the lengths SMARTdesks will go to make our workstations satisfy your need for an efficient training station. |

DT Series Workstations have a standard pull-out keyboard/mouse platform so the rest of desktop is free for paperwork. We offer a number of optional articulated keyboard trays - many at very reasonable cost - to make the stations more comfortable and accommodate special needs and ADA requirements. Many other options are available, like task lights, data ports and worksurface-mounted Headset Grommets which extend the reach of standard headsets and make attachment simple so each student can be assured of sanitary equipment. |

| DT desks for younger students are designed without the keyboard pull-out in single, double and triple stations and heights designed for K-4, 5-8, 9-adult and adult stand-up. These units save space, improve durability and promote an ergonomic interface. We recommend adjustable height chairs and foot rests so younger students are comfortably seated and can access input devices and view the display without physical stress or discomfort. |
DT series desks are also engineered for iMAC® and other VDT/Processor combination systems without the CPU bay. These stations are also manufactured for grades K-4, 5-8, 9-adult and adult stand-up. A variaty of keyboard.mouse supports are an option on these workstations. The LT Series for Laptop or Notebook computers is designedwith the same features but shallower than the DT desk.
